So, this is some sort of voice control or voice-to-text software for Windows 98, 2000, and XP. They had a shelf of sealed copies at my local Goodwill, so I figured I may as well take a look. I'm not sure whether this will work on my modern system, but at least it is USB and not a 9-pin or 25-pin COM port.
However, now that I have it out, it looks like the foam padding on the earpieces is disintegrating. I mean, this seems little bit recent to be having this problem. I have 8-track tapes from 1980 that have disintegrating foam sponges, which makes sense after 39 years. However, I wouldn't expect a headset from 2002(?) to fall apart like this.
Anyway, I need to do something about that and eventually see about trying the software out.
